After doing the rest of the car, I went ahead and ad the front windshield tinted today at Sundanser Window Tint. There were a few choices here...including some specifically for windshield tints such as Llamar Air 80 and Madico WIncos but both have a blueish hint to them which I didn’t like. After looking into it a bit, I went with Suntek CXP 70 which allows 65% of light through while blocking out 44% of total heat. They also offer CXP 55 which allows 53% of light through while blocking out 48% of heat but I didn’t want to go that dark because a) I think it would look weird and b) I was concerned about night time visibility. The total cost for the windshield was $100 and I have to say it was money well spent. The difference it makes is very noticeable, in both feel and actual numbers. A lot of people don’t tint the windshield (probably because it’s not actually legal :D ) but it’s the largest piece of glass on the car, A LOT of heat comes in through there.
As you can see, there is a difference but it’s not that huge...
